Clinical Staff

MRTC employs an interdisciplinary treatment team

  • Clinical Services Manager
    Oversees all aspects of the treatment centre.
  • Clinical Coordinator
    The Clinical Coordinator plans and develops the clinical program delivery in consultation with the Manager and supervises the day-to-day operation of the clinical services.
  • Program Coordinator
    The Program Coordinator coordinates and supervises the provision of care while clients are participating in our program.
  • Clinical Addictions Counsellors (CAC)
    CAC’s facilitate the therapy groups, conduct intake and exit conversations and provide workshops. All CAC’s hold graduate degrees in psychology, counselling or social work and are experienced working with those who struggle with problematic substance use.
  • Addictions Counsellors (AC)
    The AC’s conduct psycho-educational groups, conduct intake and exit conversations and provide workshops. They hold undergraduate degrees in psychology or social sciences and are experienced working with those who struggle with problematic substance use.
  • Clinical Support Workers (CSW)
    CSW’s facilitate non-therapy groups, provide workshops and offer support in the evenings. They hold community college diplomas in substance abuse or human services.

Medical Staff

  • Physician
    Our sessional physicians come to MRTC to run a weekly clinic for routine medical needs, oversees medical policy and treatment, and may be involved in the review of the medical portion of client’s application.
  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
    We have a nurse on duty that supports medication administration and provides routine medical support.

Registered Dietitian (RD)

A Registered Dietitian (RD) provides nutrition counselling for MRTC clients. The dietitian can meet with these clients individually to assess their nutrition needs.

Administrative Support

Our receptionist, admission and intake clerks; and administrative support persons help take care of the details of centre operations.
